I am very excited that our library is doing the "Staff 2.0 Challenge!" Technology has forever changed the way we communicate, the way we access information, even the way we find entertainment. I am proud Jill and the our IT Department for creating a program that will encourage all of our staff to embrace these new technologies.
Many of us strive for "perfection," which can keep us from trying new things, it can keep a great idea from coming to fruition. While we always want to do our bests, we have to accept that mistakes are part of the learning process. Libraries today are striving to be "innovative" and that does not equal "perfect."
It is important to find joy in what we do, to have fun while learning and/or trying new things. This video was making the rounds a few months ago on the web, it is rather silly, it makes me smile whenever I see it. My hat is off to the librarians that created this. They have the ability to laugh at themselves and to have fun, all to a Lady Gaga song.... they are obviously super hip and cool, too!
